Big night ahead for Melton Town as new pitch gets big reveal

Melton Town Football Club in Burton Road will be able to show off their new playing surface tonight as they return to action.

The new 3G playing surface is finally ready to play after a long summer of hard work both on and off the pitch.

The new pitch has been installed with assistance from Green Fields Elite and will see its first match played on it tonight as the Pork Pie Army welcome Newark FC to Signright Park.

Kick off is at 7:45pm but fans are asked to arrive as early as possible (gates open 6:45pm) as a large crowd is expected.

Local VIPs will also be in attendance along with past Melton Town Managers.

Entry is £7 for adults, £5 for concessions and £3 for children. Programmes will be available priced at £1 and payments can be made by cash or card. Parking at the ground is free but as a large turnout is expected, early attendance is advised.

It will also be a chance to see new signing Tyreace Palmer who is expected to make his home debut on the surface who has joined Melton Town on loan until 9 January from Notts County.
