A welcome three points sent the Welby Road faithful home happy on Saturday after a barn storming 90mins packed full of incidents and goals.
Sports, needing to pull some form together after a very stop start season welcomed high flying Aylestone Park in this United Counties clash.
The form guide went to plan in the first 25mins as Aylestone found themselves 2 up through Hill and Bates however, on 35mins, with Aylestone still knocking on the door for a third and Holwell hoping to hit the league favourites on the counter, the afternoon changed.

A high and reckless tackle from Dan Marriott and Tom Bendle saw the Aylestone full back heading for an early bath. Buoyed by that, Holwell went hunting and halved the deficit before the break through Jordan Smith.
It only took Sports 10mins into the second to pull themselves level through Harry Allcock and with 20mins remaining Holwell hit the front when Tom Bendle's shot took a wicked deflection to wrong foot the visiting keeper.

3 became 4 with 10mins to go as Pope popped up in the right place to fire home from close range.
Biggs and Pope had chances to extend that lead but it was Aylestone who finished off the scoring for the afternoon in the last minute when Nutall fired in a 25yd drive to leave a nervy final few minutes.
A huge and very welcome 3 points for Sports who look to take that into another tough test next weekend as Hucknall Town come to Welby Road.
