Melton Town excited to show off new playing surface

Melton Town Football Club are putting together the finishing touches to their new playing surface at Signright Park in Burton Road.

The club have installed a new 3G playing surface along with installation company Green Fields Elite.

It’s been installed finally after Sports England dropped a planning objection against the project earlier this year following intervention from Rutland and Melton MP Alicia Kearns.

Ms Kearns took to Twitter this afternoon to retweet images from the club commenting: “How amazing is this looking!! #PorkPieArmy

The surface will also be available for community use. Photo: Melton Town FC.

The team are preparing the play on the new surface when they next play at home on Tuesday 23rd November (7:45pm KO) v Newark FC.

I’s also hoped that new signing Tyreace Palmer will make his debut who has joined Melton Town on loan until 9 January from Notts County.
