Melton Town are back in action tonight as they mark the start of their pre-season campaign as they host West Bridgford FC which has been brought forward by a day.
Initially scheduled for the day after, the fixture has been brought forward to accommodate a request from the visitors. The Uhlsport United Counties League Division One side will travel to Melton for a 19:45 kick-off on the FIFA Pro Quality pitch at Sign Right Park. The Nottinghamshire side finished 17th in the league last season.
Though they formed as a junior section in 1990, the senior team only began in 2011. In those 11 years, West Bridgford have already won five promotions.
Exciting developments have been going on out of season at Signright Park with the removal of the old bar, club house and toilets to make way for their new club house which is hoping to be completed by the start of the new campaign.
