Petanque Inter-Regional Championships staged at Melton Mowbray Market

The Petanque 2021 Inter-Regional Championship & Challenge were held at Melton market this weekend attracting hundreds of visitors from all over England.

Teams from as far away as Sussex and Yorkshire battled it out over the weekend on specially created pitches for the event.

Round Corner Brewing were open to quench the thirst of visitors and competitors across the weekend as well a live DJ in the Tavern on Saturday night.

Petanque is a sport similar to boules where players or teams play their boules/balls towards a target ball.
