FireFighters Tackle Major City Blaze

FireFighters are tackling a huge fire in Leicester City centre this morning.

A call was received to a commercial car garage involved in fire on Great Central Street in Leicester at 23:27 last night.

At its height ten fire engines from across the County were in attendance and police evacuated nearby properties.

Crews from Eastern, Central, Wigston, and Southern attended along with 1 Arial Ladder Platform from Birstall and 2 Specials.

Area of Vaughan Way / Great Central Street is closed to traffic this morning while the fire is being brought under control.
