Police investigate after man’s body found inside Melton flat

Leicestershire Police carried out an investigation today after a man's body was found inside a flat near Melton Town Centre.

Police were called just before midday today (Thursday) following the discovery of a man's body, inside a flat in Greenslade, in Melton.

The investigation concluded that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 11.45am today (5 January) following the discovery of a deceased man, who is in his 50s, inside an address in Greenslade, Melton Mowbray.

Officers attended to carry out enquiries but the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner."

East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the incident.
