Area Traffic Control tweeted earlier this morning to give updates on the situation which is causing travel delays around the Syston and Hobby Horse roundabout area.

The road is likely to remain closed for most of Friday morning. A diversion has been set up by National Highways for drivers travelling through the area.

Road users are advised to expect disruption and to allow extra journey time.

  • Turn right and follow the A6006 for 16km until it re-joins the A46 at the Dalby junction.

  • From A46 Dalby junction, exit for the A6006 and turn left at the bottom of the slip road and head west.

  • Follow the A6006 for 16km until the signalised junction for the A6.

  • At the junction, turn left and head south-east on the A6 for approximately 3.5km.

  • At the roundabout with Warwick Way turn right, at the next roundabout turn left onto Epinal Way, at the next roundabout continue straight on along the A6004 and continue past the University buildings until it re-joins the A6 after Loughborough town centre.
