Firefighters rescue trapped female after car flips on to roof

Melton Firefighters have rescued a female from her car after it flipped on to its roof in Melton this morning.

Crews were called at 09:14 this morning (Tuesday) to initial reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision with a car on its roof with one person trapped on Kirby Lane in Melton.

A Leicestershire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “Road Traffic Collision involving 1 car on its roof, 1 person trapped, Fire Service extricating casualty. Police and Ambulance Service also in attendance.

One female casualty extricated from vehicle by Fire Service and in care of EMAS, vehicle being made safe. Casualty being conveyed to QMC”
