Man sentenced after damaging police car

A Melton man has been sentenced after he was involved in an incident that resulted in a police car being damaged and the suspect failing to stop and making off.


Robert Bark, 40, of Melton Mowbray, was sentenced to 9 points on his license, a fine regarding the damage and a community order.

The incident happened on Welby Lane after Bark was pulled over on suspicion of another matter.


A spokesperson for Melton Police said: “We have had a number of fail to stops recently, and this is a good result that shows, just because the Police don't chase after you immediately, justice will still catch you up.”
