Melton's popular 1940s weekend is set to return again later this year and the organisers are still accepting bookings for vintage traders and groups as well as re-enactor places.
The 1940s Melton Mowbray weekend brings the spirit of 1940s Britain alive again in the Town's Play Close parks on the weekend of May 10th and 11th.

The event has proved very popular in recent years and includes a range of exciting events taking place all around the park and stretches in to the Town Centre.
The event has become a popular, annual attraction to the Melton Mowbray summer events calendar and it attracts the crowds every year with free entry to all - definitely not one to be missed.
With a packed schedule of entertainment throughout the weekend, including live music, singing and dancing, living history re-enactor groups from all around the country and with vintage military and civilian vehicles. All this together with a vintage fairground providing nostalgic fun for the whole family.

This year includes live 1940s music and singers, vintage military and civillian vehicles as well as a fashion show in St. Mary's Church.
The event will also include a vintage fairgroun, collections and vintage clothing as well as a ride on steam train and weather permitting, a Battle of Britain flypast.
