Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service have reminded residents to take care while cooking after fire crews were called to an explosion in Melton Mowbray last night.
Fire Control received a call to the Charnwood Drive area of Melton around 19:11 last night (Sunday) to reports of an explosion in a kitchen.
Crews from Melton & Oakam Fire & Rescue Stations attended the incident along with Cadent to inspect for gas leaks.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service said: "We were called to reports of an explosion in a kitchen at a property on Charnwood Drive at 19:11 last night (Sunday 28 September). Crews from Melton and Oakham Fire Stations attended the scene, along with our partners from Cadent.
A ground floor and first floor window had been blown out of the property by the explosion.
Cadent carried out checks on both properties, but no gas leak was detected."
Residents, and neighbouring residents of one other property, were evacuated, but there were no casualties.
The Fire Service have since confirmed that the cause of the explosion was found to be an over-pressurised aerosol can, which had been left too close to the kitchen hob.
The spokesperson added that the property owner was informed, and the incident was closed at 21:18.
They added that residents are reminded to always take care whle cooking. For more information click here: Cooking | Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service
