Body found in search for missing Whetstone Man

A heavy police presence in Asfordby Hill yesterday (Saturday) were searching for a missing person.

A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 1.30pm yesterday (3 October) police received a report for the concern of the safety of a man who was missing from Whetstone.

“Following subsequent enquiries officers found the body of a man, believed to be the person report missing, in a wooded area close to Melton Road, Asfordby Hill.

“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and officers will now prepare a file for the coroner.”
