A man has been charged with a number of offences following an incident in Blakeney Crescent, Melton, on Monday (19 December).
Police had attended a property in the area at 9.54am on Monday morning to carry out an arrest attempt of a man.
The man had refused to leave the property. A number of other people were also inside the property.

Lee Smith, 42, of Blakeney Crescent, Melton, has been charged with the following:
One count of criminal damage
One count of obstructing a police officer
Six counts of rape
One count of engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour
One count of threats to kill
Three counts of actual bodily harm
One count of possessing a firearm without a certificate
Two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place
One count of possessing a controlled class B drug
He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates Court today (Friday 23 December).
A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: "The rape charges relate to offences which are alleged to have happened between 2012 and 2021. The ABH charges relate to offences alleged to have happened in 2019, 2020 and 2021."
Police, multiple ambulances and two fire engines were in attendance during the 12 hour incident on Monday.
