Man charged following robbery at Melton store

Police have charged a 35 year old man in connection with a robbery at a Melton store on Sunday night.

A Police spokesperson said: "A 35-year-old man has been charged with robbery following an incident at a store in Melton on Sunday evening (25 September).

Mitchell Ailmore of no fixed address, was also charged with theft following an incident at the same premises on 18 September. He was remanded into custody to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 27 September)."

A second person, a 14-year-old youth, was also arrested in connection with the incident at the weekend and he has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
