The centre of Melton Mowbray is set to come alive again this weekend as the highly popular 1940s event returns to the town.
Around 15,000 visitors attend the weekend last year and organisers are anticipating the same number this year, if not more, as the event returns this Saturday and Sunday (9th/10th May).
The event attracts visitors from across the Borough of Melton as well as further afield with visitors last year coming from as far as Norfolk to visit the event.

The 1940s weekend will feature the usual mix of re-enactments, vintage trade stalls as well as vehicles and a display of classic cards and agricultural vehicles.
At the bandstand in Play Close singers and performers will also be joining in with music from the era including the highly talented Lily Lovejoy who will have various spots across the weekend.
Kyle Evans will also be appearing as George Formby and other performers include Johnny Victory, Historian Ray Flude and Rachel Bea.
The event runs from 10am until 4pm on Saturday and Sunday in Melton's Town parks with an addition of Wilton Park this year which will host an outdoor cinema showing Oliver the Musical, Grease the Movie and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and International Velvet across both days.

St. Mary's Church will also be open hosting a fashion show and there's plenty of family attractions included with the free event.
Tickets are also available to purchase for a 1950s and 1960s music dance at the Stock Yard on Saturday night.
While the main event is free donations towards running costs are welcomed.
