The former Justice Minister will sit against Labour's Wes Streeting at the despatch box. He has held a number of Ministerial roles, including Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Justice, Minister of State for Health and Shadow Secretary of State for Justice.

He became our local MP at the last General Election in July after sitting as the member for Charnwood until the new boundry changes meant Melton were emcompassed in the new Melton & System constituency replacing Rutland & Melton.
