Oakham to host two senior royals today

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will visit Rutland today as part of their royal duties.

They will visit Rutland Showground, Oakham Castle, Oakham Library and Rutland Water today (Tuesday).

There will be a chance to see Edward and Sophie around mid-day today when they visit the memorial status of Queen Elizabeth II near the Oakham Library.

The showground, castle and library buildings will be closed on the day of the visit. Catmos Street is also closed to traffic for the visit. There are also parking restrictions opposite the library.
