Police issue update on Norman Way incident

Leicestershire Police has confirmed that there were no serious injuries following a collision between a car and a mobility scooter in Melton yesterday (Thursday).


Police were called at 4:30pm following reports that a car had collided with a mobility scooter at the junction of Snow Hill.

East Midlands Ambulance also attended the incident and converyed the mobility scooter rider to hospital.


A Leicestershire Police spokesperson confirmed that the mobility scooter user - a woman - did not suffer any serious injuries and no-one was arrested.


The road re-opened just after 9pm.
