Hundreds of people lined the parade route on Sunday for the annual St. George's Day parade.
The parade left Thorpe End just after 1pm and was led by one of the volunteers dressed up as the patron saint of England and carried by Melton Mowbray Round Table.

Scouts, Beavers and Cubs were among the participants in the parade which marched from Thorpe End to St. Mary's Church for a service before continuing the parade from Market Place towards Nottingham Street.

The parade included 36th Melton Mowbray Scout Group and 4th Melton and 1st Waltham.
Following the service at St. Mary's Church the parade was joined by the newest addition to the Melton Scouting circuit with Squirrels division joining, some as young as four years old.
The parade then marched from Sherard Street to Nottingham Street via Market Place with Inspector Lindsey Madeley-Harland from Melton Police and Scout District Commissioner of The Scouts Joanne Flinn taking the salute, joined by Mayor of Melton Cllr Alan Hewson.
