Melton's Tesco petrol station kiosk will be closed for the rest of this week to allow for refurbishments to take place.

A closure was put in place across the forecourt this morning (Monday) prompting questions as to what the reason was for the random closure.

Melton's Thorpe Road store is also undergoing maintenance with a refresh of the strore's design. As a result the store is currently closing at 10pm instead of midnight.

A Tesco spokesperson told NEMM: “The petrol filling station at our Melton Mowbray Superstore is temporarily closed for refurbishment. We will be operating a pay at pump service from Tuesday 17 September ahead of the filling station and kiosk fully reopening this Saturday. We apologise for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming customers back after the works are completed.”
