Boy arrested after domestic incident in Melton

Police have arrested a 15 year-old boy following a domestic incident in Melton yesterday.

Police were called to an address yesterday afternoon following reports of a domestic incident in Thorpe Road, Melton.

During the incident an occupant of the property left the address and was reported to be in possession of a knife.

A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: "Police received a call at around 4.20pm yesterday (Thursday 9 September) to a report of a domestic incident at a house in Thorpe Road, Melton Mowbray. During the incident, an occupant of the property left the address and was reported to be in possession of a knife.

Officers attended and a 15-year-old youth was arrested in nearby Belvoir Street on suspicion of possession of a knife/blade/sharp pointed article in a public place. He remains in police custody while enquiries are ongoing."
