Detectives launch investigation after report of sexual assault

Detectives from Leicestershire Police are investgiating a report of a sexual assault over the weekend.

Police were called to a property in Badger Avenue shortly before 7:30am on Sunday morning following reports that someone had been sexually assaulted.

A scene preservation remained at the address throughout the day and staff from the Force's Forensic Investigation Unit were present in the afternoon.

A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to the property shortly before 7.30am on Sunday 28 July and are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances."

Two men - aged 32 and 35 - have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.
