Firefighters called to head on collision in Old Dalby

Two fire crews from Melton Station were mobilised to a head on collision in Old Dalby this morning.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called by the ambulance service at around 09:15 to reports of a two vehicle head on road traffic collision.

A Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Spokesperson said: "Call from EMAS reporting 2 vehicle RTC head on collision.

Upon arrival, RTC involving 2 vehicles, 1 male casualty trapped, all other occupants of vehicle self extricated prior to arrival of Fire Service.

4 casualties in total.

Police and EMAS in attendance , road closed."
