A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service said: "We received a call to a dog (spaniel) that had fallen through the ice at Melton Country Park. We had 2 x Tech Rescue enter the water on inflatable rafts and rescue the dog. The dog was safely rescued and has been taken to the vets to be checked over."
It has not been reported which lake the dog was in or how it came to be on the ice.
