Firefighters Tackle Building Fire

Firefighters from two counties have been tackling a disused building fire in Long Clawson.

The fire service received a call at 06:46 this morning (Sunday) to a large derelict house involved in fire in East End, Long Clawson.

Crews from Melton, Eastern, Birstall and two from Nottinghamshire were in attendance.

A Leicestershire Fire & Rescue spokesperson said: “Calls received to a large derelict house involved in fire. Upon arrivals additional appliances were requested due to whole building being fully involved in fire.

2 hose-reel Jets and 1 main jet being used to tackle the fire.”
