Traffic Incident closes Leicester Street

Police are currently dealing with a traffic incident on Leicester Street, Melton Mowbray.

A car has collided with a building this afternoon (Friday). Police were called just after mid-day along with East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Traffic indicators show a build-up of traffic on Leicester Street, Ankle Hill and Sherard Street.

A Leicestershire Police Spokeswoman said: “Leicestershire Police were called at 12.21pm to a report of a car in collision with a building in Market Place, Melton.

Officers are in attendance, as are East

Midlands Ambulance Service. The injuries aren’t life threatening.

Some roads into Market Place are closed at this time while the incident is dealt with.”
