Villagers Face Power Outage

Residents in Scalford and Waltham On The Wolds have reported a loss of power this morning (Tuesday).

A spokesperson for Western Power Distribution who control electricity for the region said: “We're sorry to customers affected by the powercut in the Scalford #LE14 and surrounding area. We estimate that all customers will have power restored by 9:30”.

Lights also flickered in Melton Mowbray but no reports of a power outage.
