Police issue update after firearms incident in Melton

Leicestershire Police have today confirmed that a man arrested in connection with a firearms incident in Melton has been charged.



In a statement issued today, Tuesday, a Force spokesperson said: "A 44-year-old man has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm in a public place following an incident in Melton.

Grzegorz Nikolajuk, of Dorian Rise, Melton, has been released on bail and is due to appear at Loughborough Magistrates Court on 23 July.


The charge relates to an incident on the evening of Thursday 8 July when officers attended an address in Beckmill Court, Melton. No-one was injured during the incident."
